From 8 to 12 July, 2019 in the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) International Educational Summer School took place. School participants were 32 students from eight countries.

This year, the Summer School was divided into three areas:
— «Innovations in Geoscience, Reservoir and Production Engineering»;
— «Offshore Field Development with emphasis on the Arctic» (Scientific Director – advisor to Rector Anatoly Zolotukhin);
— «Well Construction and Drilling» (Scientific Director – professor of Drilling Department Mikhail Gelfgat).

18 lecturers from different countries of the world delivered their lectures. Lecturers were representatives of such universities as KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), Molde University College (Norway), Nord University (Norway), University of Stavanger (Norway), University of Leoben (Austria), Jilin University (China), and internationally recognized companies like «Gazprom Neft Sakhalin», «New-Tech Services», «NOV Russia & CIS».

The Summer School took place at the Center of Offshore Drilling with the direct support of Alexander Oganov, the Head of the Drilling Department. School was organized with the help of Gubkin SPE Student Section. The sponsor was PJSC LUKOIL.
