From 12th to 19th of April students of Gubkin University had a trip to Serbia, where they got acquainted with oil industry and culture of this country. It was organized by the SPE Student Chapter of the University supported by the company «NIS Gazprom Neft».

The technical program of the event included a visit to the main office of «NIS Gazprom Neft» and a meeting with the directory, who told the history of the company, closely related to the history of the whole country. Also the students visited the research and development center. Further the Gubkin students took part in a geological excursion and visited production facilities of the company: the training center of drilling and wells completion, the oil field, the center of refining and processing of oil and gas and the oil refinery in Pancevo.

During the cultural program the participants of the trip got acquainted with the main sights of the Serbian capital – Belgrade and visited such cities as Novy Sad and Sremski Karlovtsy. At the end of the trip they went to the western part of Serbia for two days, where they learned traditions of the Serbian nation.
