On the 7th of May students of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) visited the company “Salym Petroleum Development N.V.” (SPD). The excursion was organized by Gubkin University SPE Student Chapter.

Salym Petroleum Development N.V. (SPD) is a Joint Venture set up in 1996 with a view to develop the Salym group of oilfields in Western Siberia.

The excursion began with the presentation of corporate activities and structure of the enterprise. Thereafter, the students got acquainted with the main technologies used by the company and learnt about the job prospects for employment in the SPD. Then a meeting was held with the WRFM team (Wells Reservoir and Facilities Management) and a video call was made to the employees based in Salym.
