On the eve of such a bright holiday as the New Year 16 students of Gubkin University were able to create a small miracle for 41 kids from a rehabilitation center for children from social risk families in the city of Rybinsk.

            Students had started preparing 3 weeks before trip: they bought and packed individual gifts for the kids, prepared a script and started rehearsing the New Year’s fairy tale, was looking for props, costumes, music for a children’s disco. In general, our volunteers turned into real helpers of Father Frost and Snegurochka.

            The trip took place on December 22. At 6:00 in the morning volunteers took everything, which was prepared including the New Year’s mood and set off. After 350 km on the road to Rybinsk students arrived on place and began preparations for the event. Then the exciting moment of celebration start point came. The main part of the event was a fairy tale! Everything went fine, the kids were delighted with the fairy tale, gifts and a festive table. The director and staff of the center were very grateful. Volunteers said that they received incredible returns.

            After students had returned in Moscow they often remembered how great it was to give children a fairy tale and faith in kindness. As part of the project, another trip is planned for May 2020.
