On September 27 an introductory lecture of the «Petroleum Engineering Calculations» course was held at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas
(National Research University). The lector was Khabibullin Rinat Alfredovich, candidate of engineering science, associate professor of the department of development and exploitation of oil fields.

During the lecture, topical problems of the oil and gas field were discussed, which can be solved with the help of automated calculations and using various software products. Various methods for solving problems, types of models, and the role of programming in the industry were considered. The lecture was held in an interactive format, the audience actively participated, sharing their opinions and asking questions to the lecturer using the Internet service.
