On November 1, 2018, the Global Communication project that is conducted via a video call was held and was attended by representatives of three SPE student sections: Gubkin University (Russia), University of Cairo (Egypt) and University of Ploiesti (Romania).

The main subject of video calls in 2018 were problems with collaborative efforts around the world.

All participants of the upcoming events were to exchange information on all future conferences and forums. Students from Cairo expressed a great desire to visit Russia and invited Gubkin students to their home towns.

The Romanian section told us about the experience of the field trip of Italians in Romania and their upcoming trip to the city of Torino (Italy) in order to familiarize themselves with the university and passionate history that they had on October 16-17, 2018. In May 2019 they will have Konstantin Gh. Popa paper and poster competition.

The Cairo section talked about advances in oil and gas. The guys talked about the 2017 Arab Oil Conference and Exhibition, about the SPE Tube conferences, Save Water — Save Life, Software Club and many others. The students paid special attention to the exchange program.
